Things British is located upstairs on The Grand Terrace (between the St Pancras Grand Hotel and Searcys Champagne Bar) adjacent to the statue of John Betjeman - the poet who helped the station gain Grade I listed status and saved it from being demolished. St Pancras International Station was opened in 1868 and is one of the wonders of Victorian engineering. Along with the former Midland Grand Hotel, it is a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic Architecture and one of the most elegant stations in the World. The station boasts a wide range of over 50 shops, bars and restaurants and independent boutiques - with a strong sense of British style and very handy extended shopping hours.
This shop has a mixed demographic of shoppers with a large number being commuters, local residents and office workers, local tourists (coming down from the north of England) and visitors from overseas who use the Eurostar. We also see a lot of guests who stay in the 5-star St Pancras hotel and the Champagne bar located adjacent to the shop. Events and weddings are often held adjacent to the shop next to the statue. Products sold have an average of £30 and range from £2 up to £600 for some of the finer jewellery. As this is a commuting station the highest footfall is on a weekday with Friday being the busiest day. Weekends and public holidays have a much lower footfall.

The minimum rental period is just 6 weeks up to a maximum of 52 weeks per booking. A rental of at least 12 weeks is required to use the storeroom. A rental can be renewed multiple times once expired. An unlimited number of bookings can be run concurrently, however, please don't overcommit on space as there will be a formal contract in place.
